About Us
Hillcrest is a body of
believers who have been serving Christ in the Atlanta area since 1945. Our
history
began with a handful of men,
women and children who through obedience to God and a deep desire to share the
gospel planted a church in Atlanta and then moved to the current location in
Decatur, GA.
Today Hillcrest operates
several
ministries designed to
meet the needs of our hundreds of members and to reach our community with an
active demonstration of the love of God.
We are lead by a team of
servant-leaders who govern and manage the day to day affairs of the Church.
They are
Ministers
who boldly
preach and teach the Word of God,
Elders
who nurture and shepherd the members, and
Deacons who diligently work in various capacities in support of our
mission and goals.
Our primary goal is to
share the plan (and joy) of salvation with the world. Our vision is to “build a
people of purpose, power and praise”.
