It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Hillcrest Church of Christ.  You’ll find that we are a family of believers who are loving and resourceful in caring for each other and reaching out to the world. 

Our vision to build “a people of purpose, power and praise” is rooted in the fact that each Christian has a responsibility to be equipped and prepared to carry out the work that God has purposed him or her to do. 

After Jesus established His church on Earth and ascended to Heaven, he sent the Holy Spirit to equip His church with power and spiritual gifts so that His disciples could carry out His ministry objectives. 

To some he has given the gift of teaching; to others the gift of preaching; to this one the gift of giving; to another the gift of administration.  To each, God has given a gift to be used to fulfill His purpose.  To all, He has commanded us to reach and save the lost.  (Ephesians 4:11-16)

While all Christians share the same mission and commitment to God, the membership of Hillcrest is quite unique and diverse.  As you’ll see,  we have ministries established to meet the needs of everyone – youth, singles, married, seniors; and we have ministries established to use the talents and gifts of everyone – food pantry, Netcasters “go fishing” club and choral groups to name a few. 

What I want you to remember most about Hillcrest is that “a great commitment to the great commission is at the heart of all of our ministries.”  We serve God in spirit and in truth with love for the father and love for each other.
